Since the fiasco of that day, there are still a lot of questions that have not been answered. After a year why haven't all the videos been released so the public can view with own eyes all that took place that day without filtering information? Days earlier, information had been passed on to DC mayor and police that there could be issues, given 500,000 people assembled for a rally. National Guard troops had been offered and rejected by the mayor and Speaker of the House. Unlike the devastating r**ts, of 2020 where anarchists from A****a and B*M burned down thousands of businesses across the county and murdered over 2 dozen people, the thousands of demonstrators marching down Constitution toward the Capitol caused no damage along the path. In fact, the only show of force were 2 police officers stationed at each street intersecting Constitution Ave.
Video on the 5th and 6th, showed video of a man with a bull horn on numerous occasions yelling to the crowd to storm the Capitol. Many of the people in the crowd were chanting that this guy was a government provocateur. The FBI listed his photo in their people of interest. Eventually, a news organization identified this instigator as Ray Epps, Arizona businessman. When his name was revealed, the FBI took down his photograph. Thus far Epps has not been arrested or charged as the number of others have. Why?

The FBI attempted to show a conspiracy between all the people that entered the Capitol however, they were unable to show a link between all the r****rs. These were independent people trying to create a disturbance that eventually engaged members of the police. None of what took place in the Capitol should be dismissed as minor, however there are a number of unanswered questions including an organizer on a tall platform pushing people to enter the Capitol. To my knowledge, the FBI has not pursued his identity and involvement in creating chaos.

And given the fact that the Speaker of the House's responsibility is the C*****l p****e and protection of said Capitol, where is her accountability?

yes these are things that need to be answered but won't. The fact is it was a protest that turned into a r**t by a small minority who were present. Why are these r****rs being treated so vastly different than the r****rs of the left all summer long who actually did k**l many people, and who did far more damage, and inturruped court and police busness and those who did get arrest mostly got released and those who did get charged faced very little if any punishment. Any one or news organization that are still calling J*** 6 an i**********n, or saying 5 people were k**led, or it was an attempt to over throw our democracy, or that Thrump told people to r**t, are make the comparison to pearl harbor, 9/11, the holocaust or our civil war, should be seen as liers, uninformed or both and should not be listened to. The house investigation is just a partisan farce and will not look at the total picture, they will not ask Nancy polosi why she refused the request for additional national guard to be on call or additional c*****l p****e to be present on J*** 6, which could have prevented the capital from being breeched, They will not look into why two idividuals that are seen on tape amping up the growd and telling them to go into the capital, have not been arrested or charged (as they should be).

ok he saw there was going to be a large crowd and asked for more police and national guard to make sure things didn't get out of hand and Nancy Polosi and the dc mayor refused. If they would have done what the president asked this would not have gotten out of control

at the end of his ralley he said "let us all patriotically and PEACEFULLY march down to the capital and make our voices heard" He clearlly told them to be peaceful but their were a small minority that did not list.

The National Guard is at the beck and call of the President, doesn't matter what was done before the attack on th capitol. What matters is what the president didn't do during the attack. It's called, dereliction of duty.

The failure to defend the Capitol was not Trump. He did request the Dept of Defense to provide the National Guard. Read the testimony of Steven A. Sund, Chief of Police, United States C*****l P****e before the United States House of Representatives Subcommittee on Legislative Branch. It's a long read but gives you insight into the failures that our government repeatedly has. The assistance was denied because of optics. The FBI never gave any indication of known postings stating of what was to come in meetings leading up to the rally. Reminds me of the government failures leading up to 911.

Ivey we have a fundimental different view of the president's responsibility I do not see his responsibility as assuring the safety off ALL citizens. ultimatelly that is our own responseabiliy. if you read Article II section 2 that gives the powers of the presidency I don't think you will see he is responseible for the safety of us citizens. All summer long last year when cities were under attack it was the loacal and state authorities that failed to use the police under their juridiction to restore order and on J****** 6 it was the House of Representatives and U.S. Senate that had statutory oversight responsibilities for the United States C*****l P****e and their failure to protect the capital.
