I doubt that rod is still in current production.
Would be worth a try.
They may have an upgrade program where for a “ modest “ fee you could upgrade.
It’s worth a shot. They are super easy to deal with.
I even got to talk via email with a real person.
He walked me thru the process and was very helpful.
I sent them an email and they opened a case number on it and then closed it without any comments at all, so it’s a no go. That was the response I thought I would get. I’ve seen a YouTube video on how to repair it,I might have to give it a try.
I would have no respect for a company for profit that would honor your request. A fishing rod over 30 years old with a broken tip from 10 years ago. Wow! You have guts to even try.
Glad it works so well for you , I broke a NRX on April and another NRX in May . Got the April replacement back in mid November and the May replacement in December . Keeping in mind that these are 600 dollar rods and I pay an additional 130 bucks . I was not real happy with Shimano . Maybe things are getting better . I own a dozen Loomis rods , but will own no more .

I once found a Buck folding knife in the mud, it had a broken blade and all rusted up have no idea how old it was but I sent it back to the company and they sent me a brand new knife,,, that's standing behind your product.

A while back I posted that I broke the tip off my Loomis GLX 852 jwr
Applied for replacement thru their expeditor service.
Wheeled out the trash this morning and there it was on the front porch.
They were forecasting delivery as late as April.
Good to have it back.
Good Deal Ben!! That doesn’t happen often. Glad you have it back so soon, now you won’t have to start your fishing season short your Loomis😁
