A while back I posted that I broke the tip off my Loomis GLX 852 jwr
Applied for replacement thru their expeditor service.
Wheeled out the trash this morning and there it was on the front porch.
They were forecasting delivery as late as April.
Good to have it back.

That's great Ben, Loomis has a pretty good deal for their high end rods, I've replaced a GLX in the past and it's much better than shelling out for a full price rod. Now gotta take time to get out and use it.

How did the tip break anyway ben?
Sounds like they have good customer service!
Happy for you Ben, glad it worked out better than forecasted.

Loomis is good, about the best, did it cost you anything?

Awesome. I remember you saying what the beeeep. Expedited meant 4 or 5 months still. They must have to make it. If all their equipment was set up for current orders they have to put yours in line somewhere. I’m glad you already got it.

Ben I’ve got a G-Loomis pistol grip rod that I got in 89. I broke the tip on it 10 years give or take ago. Do you think they would repair/replace it?

Glad to hear your rod came sooner than you expected Ben. Now DON'T close the rod locker on It! :-)

I doubt that rod is still in current production.
Would be worth a try.
They may have an upgrade program where for a “ modest “ fee you could upgrade.
It’s worth a shot. They are super easy to deal with.
I even got to talk via email with a real person.
He walked me thru the process and was very helpful.
