For me, I just really enjoy relaxing and looking at the fishes. I know that might sound weird but I think they’re just bizarre looking lol. Even the average bluegill looks pretty crazy to me
Curious why you guys like it?

I fish for food, fun and profit.
The quiet. The scenery. The battle to reel a nice bass in. The friendship with my buddy and others. The planning on where, when to go.
Gets me out of the house! I release all fish I catch, it’s the fun and solitude.

Same with me. Catching fish is fun, but even if I don't even get a bite it is a great day!
I reorganize my priorities.

I’m with you on this it’s not just catching a fish it’s every thing around me the birds 🦅 flying overhead the wind in the trees and that rotting limb sticking out of the water the calming sounds of being outside
I fish almost all catch and release. But a nice Walleye it’s not going to be a nice day for the Walleye
Quality time with a close friend !
If you have to asked your not a true fisherman you should already know the answers
I like a fantastic fresh fish meal and sitting on a quiet lake enjoying nature. One time we were out and two otters were playing in the lake. Beautiful.
Nature, solitude, and the challenge of out smarting creatures in their home habitat (artificials only).
A tasty meal every now and then, doesn't hurt either.
Well, good question! I view fishing as there are two different worlds, ours and those below the surface of the water. Try as we might, we cannot fully appreciate the underwater world the fish live in, and I assume that goes for their view of us. Just Sayin....RJS
