Back home in Manchester, N.H.
we had three small ponds that
flowed into Lake Massabesic, the largest of which was Tower Hill
Pond ! Although it was within the
city limits, it was remote enough
from traffic and civilization to
harbor loons, as you had to drive about ten minutes up a rough dirt road, then you had to hike in (about 15/20 min.) to the pond !

We'd be up there trout fishing
within a day or two after the
stocking trucks and we would see/hear them almost every
time we'd fish there !

Fishing tip ! When fishing a new lake, take a tour around the place and look to see what areas the Loons are feeding in. Those areas are holding the forage fish the Walleye and other preditor specie are feeding on, same as the loons.
This has ALWAYS saved me a lot of time spinning my wheels while on the water ! When those areas are located and the fish are not biting at the moment , try grinding up and down the outer edge of the weed line several times with your motor trimmed up and then make another pass there. The fish will be jolted out of the stupor they were in for a few minutes and can be caught. When the fish go back into their F**K YOU mood , repeat as needed ! If this sounds like a stupid idea , ask yourself, what do you have to lose, 15 minutes !
How long did it take to drive to the lake ?

When fishing a lake with loons on it, fish the deep weed line in that area ! Loons are feeding on the same bait fish as the Walleye and other game fish. If the fish are not biting, trim up your motor and grind up and down the outer weed line several times and make another pass , the fish will snap out of their F**K YOU mood and bite for a short while. A lot of times game fish go into a mid day stupor and can be brought back into reality this way I have saved many trips this way, it works !
You aren't catching anything, what's another 15 minutes ?

When fishing a lake with loons on it, fish the dee... (show quote)

Sounds good, I’ve done that with crappies in the past by dragging a grapple hook through the weeds, let it sit a while and have returned. Seems to work pretty well. Not my idea, learned it from an old timer.

Can't you edit them on your phone press. The crop button and you can pick the part of the picture you want to zoom in on

IDK Henry. I just turn my PH on and take a pic. If the subject is too far away you can't see anything in the taken pic.

But when you pull up that picture tap on the picture you'll see a bunch of symbols tap on the three dots in the right hand top corner and you'll be able to crop the photo to just keep the part of the picture you want you be surprised how great your phone can take a picture you can also add a free app on your phone that makes it easy to do all kinds of professional editing of your photos take some random pictures and fool around with it until you learn what you are capable of doing. Have fun😁👍it's a lot easier than it sounds

If You stop and think about it. If it were not for crazy people. How would you know you are sane?
