Saw
Probably once every other week. If it were up to my fishing buddy we would be there at least twice a week! But I have other things on my plate so that’s about all I can do though I really love it!

Well, let me know if you ever need a replacement fishin buddy for the day. If you knew enough in advance, maybe I could make plans to meet you over there. Just a thought, thanks.

Absolutely! Will do Saw.
I just recently retired in June so I’m not tied to that many schedules.

Hey brother, congrats to ya. If you can give me a few days or so notice so I can put it on my calendar I'll make it a point to try to get together. You just let me know.

Very nice!
The #1 angler may have pocketed at least $208K for catching fish with bounties on them? If he fished every day, of course…nice hobby!

Always gotta keep in mind that it's A FISHERMAN that's touting those #'s and $$$ being made.....lol.

#1 for 2021 made $61,000 (7100+ fish), #1 for 2020 made $48,500 (5500+ fish). Needed to be in the top 5 to garner more than $20k, both years.
Great return on catching pikeminnow, but hardly the figures being bandied about..... just sayin'.

As the season winds down for some, (and me) I was wondering what everyone’s personal best day out or fish was for the season.
Mine was a 4.5 lb LMB down south which I guess is average for Florida which also ended up being my best day out with a total of 15 LMB caught.

Hands down my best outing was when I went over and fished with JB. Maybe not in terms of numbers but quality for sure. He put me on my PB smallmouth, next day PB largemouth. JB is super nice, knowledgeable and a great fisherman! It was an honor to fish with him.

Yeah brother, I remember when you caught em. Those are some awesome fish. Congrats again.
Too bad we didn't get the chance to go striper fishin while you were down here. Would loved to have taken you out there to catch some. Hopefully next time you're down this way.

My best day has to be yesterday. I have pics you can scroll for it it's on 50 plus year old pond. My best fish has to be without a doubt this red drum best fight in a big area of the Pearl River. He would make a run and the line would be moving so fast it made music.

Fishing from a pier I caught a 4 ft sharpnose shark. What made it memorable was I was using a #2 hook on a 15 pound leader with 1/3 of a shrimp with a tiny piece of FishBites. All this on a relatively floppy rod and a reel I was testing out after a repair. As luck would have it a pier net was close by. Nearly doubled the rod over without snapping it. The picture is now my background on my cellphone.
