Glad to see there are so many fish biologists on this sight with so much more knowledge than the local state biologists. It is good to see the critics can manage the fish and limits for lake conditions on the other side of the country. "Great catch, and thanks for supporting the management guidelines." Don't let all the game warden want to be people bother you.

Sad but true.

And this is a recent photo of Lake Mead - the lake is currently
152 FEET below the 'full' mark, the lowest it's ever been since it first
filled up in the 1930s ! The current drought has now been going on
for the past 22 years !

Interesting to see all those points and structure that would be good potential fish producers if the water was up a bit. I expect the same structure is there deeper. Best day I ever had fishing large mouth, was on Lake Nacimiento south of Monterey Ca. back in the 60's when the lake was way down. There was lots of walking involved, but easy access for a young guy.

I looked it up and there must be an overpopulation of smallies. Limit is 20 per day per angler.

That's cool 😎
I'm a catch and release guy I'll keep a few for my neighbors who like fish it takes so long for bass to grow, I have nothing against it , it is hard for me to keep Bass I'll keep my other speice of fish and give them to my neighbors .
My everyone have a great weekend fishing and hunting and a safe trips 😀
Might go ducking Sunday afternoon.

Andy your not alone. Most of the guys I know that are Bass fisherman practice 100% catch and release. Always hoping they’ll grow into a hog and catch them
again.👍🏻

Good luck duck hunting!

While lay out shooting Lake Erie we always said “shoot em in the lips” as our good luck to one another. If you don’t try to take head shots while layout shooting you end up with a million pellets in the tasty parts of the bird. They are coming dead straight at you most the time.

So “shoot em in the lips”. And share some pics. This year my only hunting is vicariously through the stage. So far a pretty good year!

Still very decent Bapa, it's the only lake around here that still has White Bass !

Well. Congrats on a great day of fishing. Only wish you didn’t keep all of them. Just saying
