Disabled Veteran Super Combo Hunting and All-Water Fishing Package
Available to a resident or non-resident qualifying as a disabled veteran, as defined by the Veterans Administration, consisting of the loss of the use of a foot or leg, or a disability rating of 50% or more, and who is receiving compensation from the U.S. for the disability. Official proof of disability (issued by the V.A.) or a Texas Driver License with “Disabled Veteran” designation must be shown each year when applying for this license and must state the rate of disability. Official proof can be digital or hard copy. Only available in person at a license retailer

The Disabled Veteran Super Combo Package includes a hunting and fishing license and five state endorsements. The package includes:

Resident hunting license
Resident fishing license
Archery endorsement
Freshwater fishing endorsement
Saltwater fishing endorsement with a red drum tag
Upland game bird endorsement
Migratory game bird endorsement
Not Included: The Federal Duck Stamp is NOT included, but is required for waterfowl hunting.

I found that true in Oregon too. I could buy a non resident fishing license from Washington cheaper than my resident fishing license in Oregon for my application. Something out of whack there for sure. Where I live now I can buy all of my hunting licenses and tags as well as every fishing license I need for way less than what, just a, fishing license coast me in Oregon. AND I can fish and keep fish here too👍. I bought a resident elk, bear, deer, wolf and annual fishing license here for $78.00. In Oregon it’s WAY over-regulated and I was just buying a fishing license,$114.00 annually, and watching all the seasons being closed when I got a chance to go. Well outside of planter rainbows, bass and catfish there. The white mush fish not suitable for human consumption. Not mine anyway. 🤮. Everything else, in Oregon, is catch and release only, limited quotas and emergency closures.

Well wouldn't that be nice? Except for one HUGE problem. Those licensing fees help go towards restocking the lakes and streams in California, so if they only collected a half a year of licensing fees then you would get a lot less fish stocked, then people won't like to fish much due to the lack of fish, then more people won't buy licenses, and...well you can see the domino effect. So since you fish, and you take your share out of those lakes and streams pay your damn license for the whole year and be happy about it!

They have never sold 1/2 year licenses and have the lowest sales of fishing licenses in years as folks do not want to pay 52.66 for a fishing license for a calendar year. If I only Salmon fish in the fall in the Sacramento River and then for trout in the spring I would have needed to purchase two licenses for 105.00 any stamps. Now you can fish in September and April with the same license which makes sense. California still does not offer any deals for seniors or veterans unless your have a veterans disability. California also has the lowest percentage of fishing license sales per capita because of their old calendar year license; perhaps this will change that.

They do restock fish everywhere but not anywhere near what California does, California has a large population and that population over fish the lakes and streams, so California has a lot more fish hatcheries than any other state, someone has to pay for those fish hatcheries and the fishing population pays for it since they are the ones sucking the fish out of the water. The alternative would be to allow people only to fish every other year, allowing a full year for fish to repopulate on their own, I think most people would scream at that, or they could do a lottery program like they do for deer hunting in California, and only a certain number of people would be allowed to fish any given year which again would allow fish to repopulate on their own, more screaming from the fishing people, so you have fish hatcheries and expensive fishing license to pay for it all. The license fee also helps pay for water conservation projects.
