Definitely Atlantic Threadfin, I've heard them called surf runners, goatfish, all kinds of stuff. They are fairly rare and supposedly taste really good though I've never tried it.

Must be a kissin cousin of what us called kingfish Virginia mullet sea mullet and whiting. For the future try to hold them straight out to the camera . Easier to id when you can see the whole fish.

Do that with any fish it also makes them look bigger.
