Perhaps you can use the Spyderwire for backing…to conserve the good stuff?
I tried spiderweb once. It sucks outloud.
I'm taking it back to Walmart. Plus I got moss green...it comes off on your hands and its a bitch to cut
Not a fan of spider wire, can’t go wrong with Power Pro, Berkley X9, Suffix 832
Thanks Gunner, this confirms everything Iv heard
Just got the 20lb and 10lb...I'm going to return them at Walmart and look for one of the other ones

Bought some Spiderwire 20lb braid and put it on a 6ft medium heavy rod with, I believe a 1/4 oz jerkbait...couldn't cast very far with it and I'm thinking the jerk bait was too light...any suggestions. On a side note I caught a nice bass with it today just couldn't cast very far...maybe 20 to 25 yards max
When you put your braid on leave some of your old line mono line on , tie your braid two it . Very I'm portion or your braid will not stay tight on your spoil
. I've seen this happen to my fishing buddy.!!
Have a good week

Yeah, I bought a spool of Spiderwire about 15 years ago. I think it had 2 or 3,000 yards on it. I still have most of it...lol I think both of us should probably just burn the stuff up on a bbq fire or something and be done with it. It ain't good stuff. As to other brands, just about anything is a step up. Seagar is always good. But I will say one thing about Spiderwire, it's the one ugliest line I've ever used. We live and learn.

I happen to,like the spider wire mono and braid.I use mostly 6 to 8 led test I do have a set up for 20 and have not had a problem casting long distances.try heavier lures or check you eyelets sometime they wear and get rough making casting harder
My son in law suggested buying spider wire. Put 2 hundred yards on my bait caster. I hated it! As I told him, that line catches on everything while tying on a lure! Caught on everything around boat including the clouds.😛 Used it for backing, never casting. Going now with Proline. Will never waste my money again on that stuff!!!
