Try silver "soap bars " from bassproshops
In college, I had a lab on Friday afternoon. We were dissecting a shark. Between shark oil and formedyhyde, there was nothing that would remove the odor, then I discovered lemons in the dining hall. Would cut thru heading back to the dorm. Worked fantastic.
My suggestion would be a trip to the grocery store and buy either fresh lemons or a plastic lemon full of juice. Problem solved!
Crest toothpaste, Listerene Mouth wash. Work them into your hands.

Vinegar works also and soap will get rid of the vinegar smell. Mike
Why not use latex gloves for cutting bait and handling fish. We salmon fishermen in the pnw do it all the time. Also prevents your baits from smelling like humans. They are cheap and disposable.

You can wash your hands with salt and ivory soap it will cut your odor
Try hand sanitizer, it works for me and it is cheap, at the dollar stores you can get what ever smell you like or just plain original. ps you stick the bottle in your tackle box and it does not add noticeable extra weight.
yeah but the salt and ivory soap will take the skin off your hand over time
if you are just cleaning fish and you want to avoid the spell just by a box of latex gloves for the local walmart just be sure to get the thicker ones they do not tear as easy

Does anyone know how to prevent hands from smelling like fish when fishing? I was thinking wearing gloves might help?
Will wearing gloves help prevent hands from smelling like fish, for example my hands stink after cutting up squid for bait and I really want to prevent this. I could try wearing disposable gloves but would prefer to know if this actually works because I could buy a proper lasting pair of gloves instead of being wasteful. If so, what type of gloves would work best?
Thank you.

Any creams/liquids will be transferred to the meat when you clean. Don't recommend that.
Oil changing gloves should work.
But, your cat loves you the way you are.
