Yeah I've had my complaints that garlic smell you're right Italian restaurant I still believe believe it's the best thing you can use strong smelling like a large order of garlic bread but I think that's why it works so good

When fishin anyplace that has fennel growin there I always strip some of the leaves off and rub/grind it into my hands so they smell of fennel. It smells like anise, which smells like licorice. Really helps take all other smells off your hands for handlin soft plastics like worms, senkos and swimbaits. It works for me anyway.

Hi Saw. I don't use fennel but anise is in my arsenal. Plus I like the smell of black licorice lol

Hey Grizz. Fennel grows in a lot of the places I fish here, anise doesn't. That's the only reason I use fennel.
Sure seems to work though.

I don’t use anything artificial but rely on my natural attractiveness and yelling “here fishy fishy!”

I use both Mike's and ProCure. Have quite a few of their "flavors", but definitely regard Crayfish, Shrimp, Anise, and Garlic as my go-to's. Mike's Shrimp oil is my favorite for adding to plastic to "soak", as is Garlic by either company. I also have the needles from ProCure to inject into plastics and scent chambers (inline trolling ones and in lures that have such).
I don't use sprays, at all. The only way to not have it on something you'd rather not, like your boat or hands, clothing, gear, is to be sure you get over the water.... after making darn sure that you are "upwind" !
Didn't see any mention of the variety of "medium" available from ProCure. Oil & Gel, of course, but they have 2 that are relatively new (few years now).....Water soluble and BaitWax.
BaitWax comes in a container like deodorant, only smaller. Perfect for hardbaits (Maglips, Whoppers, Chatter blades/bodies, Spoons and Spinners, any blades or dodgers) and stays on a good long while. Big fan of the Shrimp and Crawdad.
One of the best intros into the field of scent is ProCure WATER SOLUBLE SCENT. Solves a couple of things. Firstly it can be applied to Maribou and feathers without "matting" or "clumping",which obviously affects the desired action. Secondly......and this is for "skeptical about using because of environmental concerns".....Water soluble....need I say more ?

I have been carrying/using scent so consistently on pretty much every presentation, except fly-fishing, for so long now, that I honestly can't say that I can "tell the difference" between using or not. But as many mentioned, have handed some to a buddy while fishing, and he and his lure begin catching more frequently.... just saying.
Try some scent, I think you'll like it.

If that works, I wonder how Ouzo would work?
At least, if the fish aren't biting, it's not a total loss 😉

I don’t use attractant of any kind but I can cast 5000 yards so I don’t need it. Gonna snag something reeling in that far. 😂
