The problem with some of those is finding the nest, which in many cases is in the ground. What my Dad used to do back in the 1950s is catch a few Yellow Jackets and Hornets and put in a quart jar. Then he would put in some Chlordane pesticide and shake them around. The pesticide would stick to the fine hairs on the bees and then he would let them loose. They would take off and eventually fly back to where ever the nest is and it would kill off the whole hive.
