The tules you speak of are mostly gone now due to low water levels. Back in the day, some tules grew to 10 ft tall. Water was deeper, and the fishing was great. Still a two fish limit. Catch and keep is recommended during warmer months. I usually start fishing Eagle in October.

Thanks for all of the good info. Due to the fire, we stayed indoors most of the time. Fishing inside my niece's house was limited but we had a great time visiting. Thanks again!

Thanks so much! With the Dixie fire going, from what I understand, north of Quincy is inaccessible. We will see. When we leave for home on Sunday, there will be no time to fish because Tuesday I leave for the John Muir trail for a month. There will be plenty of trout up there.😋 Thanks again for sharing!!!

Feel free to PM me fish pics on your JM Trail trip. That sounds like an amazing trip! Would love to see pics from that country! Have fun, be safe!
