Wish I could
As a San Bernardino county fish and game commissioner I understand in order to sell your catch you must have a California commercial fishing license. You I believe that applies to all aboard. Even if I could I would not sell it. I enjoyed delivering pieces of bluefin to all my friends for

I agree about sharing a once in a lifetime catch with friends and family. It looks like your job was really GOOD KARMA maybe. I just have seen guys at docks getting bank for their catch. Thanks for sharing and like Paul Harvey would say…. The rest of the story.

That’s right Caught a 230 pound bluefin tuna
On the Vagabond out of San Diego on a 3 day.
Got hooked up using a kite and flying fish for bait. it took off fast and hard at least 200 yards 30 minutes later I had it at gaff. it was a fight all the way. Other bluefins of the same size took over an hour. I got it’s head turned early then never let up

Awesome job Bob. I’ll be 69 shortly and I’m not sure if I could do that. 👍

Nice fish Bob. Enjoy, tuna is my favorite fish to eat, especially if I caught it. 30 minutes is a real good job. My biggest tuna was 205, but that was 30 years ago. Don't think I could do it now at 73.

I, kinda, thought so. Bottom line is that one heck of a fish and you will be able to share with lots of people. How cool is that? I’ve caught over 100 jumbo perch since ice on last winter and I don’t have a one in my freezer and I didn’t eat any of them.👍

I caught a 50 pound blue fin when I was in the army down in Panama. Coming from Wyoming I though I caught the biggest fish in the ocean. It took two of us 45 minutes, switching off, to get it to the boat. I couldn’t imagine one the size of yours and we were 19 years old then. We ate and ate on that thing for, what seemed like, a year. There’s a lot of meat on a tuna. Especially a big one.
