And I have never harvested oysters. I'm pretty much ok at shucking. I always wear one of them chain mail gloves - the taste of my own blood does not usually interest me - just in case.

I love oysters. I’m she’ll on BBQ or fried. They are one of the perfect foods. Sodium is only thing that some can’t deal with. If could only have oysters 🦪 it is supposedly perfect food.

Goosepoint is favorite place to buy them. They will ship them too.

That's where I usually get mine, from Wallapa. Never disappoint. I don't like them cooked - do not care for the taste or the texture. But raw or just warmed thru on the grill? Bring em. Hog Island has this bourbon butter they put on em and then heat on the grill - oh my goodness. They have a web site with the recipe for the butter. And their hog wash - which is what they serve with the raw ones. Mrs. Spirit can drink that by the quart, with or without the oysters. My introduction to raw oysters was in a waterfront bar in Portland. Shooters with a wedge of lime and Tabasco. Still one of my favorite ways to eat em.

Hey guys. Got out to the Bay and the water was perfect. Some guy leavin had caught 3 and said he caught them around 7am.
Finally got the boat launched and went out. Bait was everywhere. Caught plenty and started driftin/trollin for Halibut. Got 1 bite and caught 1 fish, it was 31 inches and was 10 pounds. Brad was the lucky one today. Got off the water by 12:30.
Goin to the Napa tomorrow and Saturday for Stripers.
Suppose to be over a 100* the next 3 days here. Glad Sunday's coming for a day of rest. Played too hard hiking and swimming with the kids at Tahoe and now non stop fishin since I've been back, I'm getting a little tired.

They're nice, and great table fare.
Brads son Daniel went twice last week and he brought home 6 Halibut. 3 each trip. The second trip he took somebody with him and they even caught 2.
Brad and I need to get together with him and dial in Halibut fishin.
