Air in the mid 90s, water 83 with heavy generation. Didn’t go out until 3 in the afternoon and decided to hit some main lake points and secondary points. It paid off. I had A 5+ and a 6+ and several in the three pound range. Deep crank baits and 3/4 oz football head jigs with rage craw trailers, were the baits of choice. My hands and wrist are so sore.

You know it. Must caught 30 fish from 3-7, in the heat of the day. I think onky 3 or 4 were non keepers. The schools were active as can be. Been a long time since I had an outing like this.

WOW Eye that's great brother. I'm hopingfor my first 2moro. Was heading to Susquehanna but long rides have been uncomfortable lately.
Heading for Potomac. Report is morning bite is on because of cicadas. I have wopper plopper dlb plopper spook hula popper wake bait jitter bug n a popper. Got back up if bite dies. Been thinking about taking a couple big baits n troll for eyes or muskie of upriver trip. 🎣🎣🇺🇸🇺🇸

That's an awesome day Eye! That's why I want to fish some of the Legendary Lakes down south. Those kinds of days don't happen up here, unless you get access to a farm pond, or other non pressured water. Congratulations on a fantastic day.

Looks like pure fun EC. Thanks for sharing. It’s a good thing when you gotta take a day or two off from sore hands and arms from good fishing.

Good luck GRiZ. Those cicadas bites can really be fantastic. Long ago in Kentucky I was fishing as an amateur with a pro and the cicada bite was on. We were fishing top water as well. When a fish would miss the top water bait and make a big splash he would pick up a wacky style hooked worm a.k.a. senko and throw it right to the spot where the fish splashed. A lot of the time he would hook up with that fish. Just an idea for you to try in your outing. Good luck my friend. Catch a bunch.
