Air in the mid 90s, water 83 with heavy generation. Didn’t go out until 3 in the afternoon and decided to hit some main lake points and secondary points. It paid off. I had A 5+ and a 6+ and several in the three pound range. Deep crank baits and 3/4 oz football head jigs with rage craw trailers, were the baits of choice. My hands and wrist are so sore.

Nice afternoon indeed, great catch. I've got a friend over on truman, wonder if he is having the same success. Heading up there in oct. For the bass clash.

Great fish, great pics Eye. I'm working hard to learn how to be an offshore fisherman instead of a bank pounder all the time. Great inspiration. Thank you.

Ruff. A lot of folks have a hard time with deep crankin. One trick that works for me is a stop and start retrieve. This allow the bait to quit digging in the bottom and raise up. And then when you start crankin again, a suspended fish will often grab it. (Little trick of the trade). Crank half a dozen times and then stop for 30 seconds and the. Start crankon again. And don’t crank slow, crank it hard.

Hi Eye. If you did alredy see i got one today. Cicada bite was not on. Hardly saw a hat full. Temp in 70s water clarity zero. It wasn't trash it was just sediment bank to bank. Never saw anything like it. Air temp 47 at 4am almost 80 when i put her on the trailer. Have a nice evening brother 👍👍🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣

Fishing is weird sometimes. Glad you were able to bag one. Not sure I’ve ever experienced what you described about those conditions. But you’re safe and that’s all that matters.
