Does anyone else have the same problem as me? Every time I go fishing with friends or family I never even get a single bite while they reel them in left and right, but when I'm by myself I have no problem reeling them in. I could use the same lure/bait, cast out right on top of them and they'd still get the bite every single dang time.

Welcome to the fishing world!
Tila1993: You are probably having a normal experience fishing. Just how many times does this make where you get zip and all the other fishermen reel them in? I suspect it isn't too many times. I would just relax, help the others bait their hooks and have a grand time. Your turn will come. Just Sayin...RJS
Tila believe it or not I'm betting we've all been there. I've been on both sides on that line. One day on a boat with 2 others i got nada. Change places nada. Another time i got 90% othe 2 10%. Like they say IT happens. 👍👍
You must fish waters other people arent fishing a different kind of rig will do it for you I like a Carolina rig that I can cast a country mile!
When I take others out on my boat, I deliberately do everything I can to see that they get fish and have a blast even if I don't get a chance to fish. I can always go tomorrow. For them, it is something very special, maybe even a treasured memory. I guess it is my guide philosophy coming out even though I am retired.

Some days are better than others.
Thought from left field: possibly a scent on your hands that is passed on to the bait/hook or lure?
