I catch all kinds of fish at most of the bridges. Pork Fish. Snappers. Grunts. Burmuda Chubs. And a lot more. I use shrimp on a double bottom rig. I'll be down in Marathon the second week of June. Good luck Bobby. And post some pictures of your catch. I will.

I've fished that pier.. its loaded with coral to get snagged up on.. Gordon is right on the money with fishing the bridges.
Yep! The bridges, I’ve even caught bone fish using live shrimp. One evening I caught hold of something that stripped all my line... it was too shallow for a submarine.

Maybe try over on Stock Island, either side of the "Safe Harbor Inlet", just south of the dog track... North of the water treatment plant. I would try some shrimp for bait anywhere there; either east or west of the inlet. (I don't know if the dog track still exists... I'm pretty sure that it was "shut down" the last time I was there, nearly 20 years ago, now...)
There's a LOT OF Commercial Fishing vessels, that tie up right there. (If you arrive near a full moon, you'll typically find more shrimp boats tied up for a week... Maybe you can get yourself a "cheap" shrimp dinner's worth, from one of those Captains, before they "pack-out"... Some guys will "hold back a few pounds" of shrimp for friends and family, or for "barter/trade".
