Great pic! Good for both of you! My Uncle and Aunt lived in Emporia. Rev. Dave and Thelma Isaac. She said they lived in "Oz."

Thanks for your comments, I appreciate them. My granddaughter will be graduating from Emporia State here in Kansas next year and is a straight A student. Scholarships and her hard work is paying off, she will owe nothing when she graduates. 3 courses in 6 weeks this summer and it’s hard to get time to take her fishing.

That’s so great RB! Smart, cute and likes to fish!!! You’re a lucky man! Congratulations to her!!!

That's great Rut. Nothing better than fishing with the grandkids. Pretty funny getting her to hold fish, but she did it

Carpet are still in spawn around here. There are some monsters out there and you're right, they put up a great fight. Fun to catch on a light rig.

Thanks all for your comments, I appreciate it. Mike there are some big ones here too. I’ve seen a lot of 3’ carp here and light tackle would test your catching capabilities or worse destroy your gear. Regardless you would have a blast and either of the two outcomes would leave lasting memories.

Took my granddaughter carp fishing. Took some birds eye frozen corn out and some worms. They weren’t biting on the worms but they were on the corn. I through out several hands of corn then baited up with corn and casted out. Fished on the bottom and she caught two about 4-5 pounds each. She wanted her picture take and I told her only if she holds them. This was the first time she ever held a fish, she did good.she couldn’t believe how hard they fought. Put them back in to grow bigger.

Great memories for the both of you! She will cherish this day forever with her grandfather!

Put them back to grow bigger? Carp are not game fish and in Wisconsin we toss them them on the
shore to get them out of the water.
