That’s the same looking frog that jumped out of a flower pot my wife bought to plant. I’d never seen one before.
Hack 🇺🇸🍺🍺

That's a tree frog, look at the suction cups on his toes.

Definitely not a bluegill, perhaps a saltwater fish of some sort? If live bait is legal, put it on a hook and good luck!

Definitely not a bluegill. Ocean fish for sure.

I think they will work fine. Not their normal diet, but neither are hot dogs, chicken livers, or rotten cheese/blood stink bait.

You just described my normal diet. My wife, such a good cook..the flies in the neighborhood chipped in to get my screen door fixed.

Chicken Gizzards work well here in Va. They stay on the hook a lot longer than livers. Years ago when I fished the Delaware river and all the creeks leading into it we used chicken livers wrapped with a small piece of pantyhose. We also use chicken thighs. Just remember to start with smaller pieces and gradually increase the size. The fish will tell you when you have the right amount on.

You don't have to buy pantyhose as you can get some of the 'things' you put on your feet when you try on shoes. They also can be used to check each guide on all your rods for possible snags.

Forget the pantyhose, I use a Egg Loop knot and it works great for liver and anything else you want to use
