BigCat; have you tried in RedTop man State Park? You said we’re fishing Altoona. Check with the park ranger there. A wealth of information to be had. I know there’s lots of places in that park to get to various types of water. If you camp, I recall there’s some good places right in the campground to fish. Or try down a Cottage Lane if you can get in there. The ranger can tell you.i think there’s decent access right across the big bridge where you enter the park. Good luck. We’ll look forward to reports of your success. Catch a small bream and loose line alive him on the bottom. The strawberry hotdogs work just about everywhere, too.

What ratio are you doing for jello to garlic

I put like half the packet of jello with a couple tablespoons of minced garlic and a whole package of hotdogs that have been cut up into pieces in a Mason jar. They've been sitting in the fridge for 2 months now.

That ratio hasn't worked for me yet so I would suggest something a little different than that

Thanks, i actually caught both while crappie fishing 20- ft deep in 30- ft of water using minnows. I had a cat pole out with crawdad & large minnow but didn't get anything on it.

We use McDonald's chicken nuggets in Pa. at Howard's dam.For some reason they hit on them better than chicken livers or crawlers.

Ohhh that's a good idea! I'd much rather use a circle hook on them than a treble hook for chicken livers anyways.

If you fish a certain way and it works use it, but be open to new things you might find something that works better.
