Neighbors complaining about smoking fish

When I lived in Hawaii the next door neighbor complained about me smoking marlin. The smoke and smell seamed to affect his wife who unfortunately was being treated for cancer with chemotherapy. I stopped for a while but started to smoke again and never heard from him.

Many years ago when I lived in San Francisco, I lived on the top floor of a flat and my downstairs neighbors (they were lesbians) for whatever reason did not like my wife or me and when I was using my smoker(that did smoke a lot) thought it would be funny to call the fire department. Needless to say the fire department was rather pissed that they had wasted their time when there were far more important calls that needed to be taken care of.

That’s too bad about your neighbor I have a masterbuilt smoker and I use it all the time I am sure glad my neighbor’s around me seem to enjoy the smell of the smoker when I’m using it🐟🦞🦀🦐🦬🐖I work hard to both catch the fish 🎣 and preparing the different types of meats for someone to tell me I can’t cook them in my own back yard 🤬😡

I don't smoke fish, but I BBQ/grill ALOT. When I do the whole neighborhood smells like BBQ.
No complaints unless it's " That sure smells GOOD. "
I'm sure they all wish I would give them some.
I use to share with 2 of the neighbors that lived in back of us but they both died. Still give some to another next door neighbor occasionally.

THE ONLY COMPLAINT MY NEIGHBOR EVER HAD ABOUT SMOKING FISH IS THAT THEY ARE TOO HARD TO GET LIT.

That's awful. What a miserable person i have one 2 doors up the hill with a firepit. Sometimes it fills my house too but I close the windows, duh!

Neighbors always ask what are you smoking now or what wood. Always hickory with a little apple or chokecherry chips as well.
