But it is being phased out. Only 4G and 5G will work in the near future.
I know but Iโll keep it till the bitter end. ๐๐๐

Shouldn't they be this:
I personally have never spent a whole lot on rods and reels. The most ever was under $100 for the pair. Been saltwater fishing for the past thirty years and usually it takes a five to six years for the salt to take its toll. I take care of them and clean them but redfish can really put a strain on your gear. Same thing when I fished fresh water. Maybe one day Iโll splurge just for the fun of it. ๐๐๐
My android is 4G capable, but I rarely see the 4G indicator lit up,so the signal isn't there. Probably more when I'm in a city.

Just bought a new Honda Odyssey and it has its own WiFi. Itโs insane whatโs in it. I could never work on this thing.

That was the idea behind my original post. People saying you get what you pay for. But if something is way overpriced what is the real value?

If you can boat a fish with a reasonably priced setup then I believe itโs the way to go. If one can afford it then go for it. My trout redfish and flounder will taste just as good.

KSF, you have a happy Easter and take care. Iโm going to bed shortly. Good night.

You may have a point there. Lol. Itโs actually the best digital phone Iโve ever had. The old analog phone I had was better than the iPhone. Technology sometimes is actually regressive. Wait until the folks who are buying electric cars find out how much itโs gonna cost to change and dispose of that battery pack.
Yeah and how many will be sitting on the side of the road because they ran out of juice...๐คทโโ๏ธ๐on

I believe it was a little more than a year ago Bruin Outdoors introduced with a lot of fanfare the Paul Elias's baitcaster reel. It had all the bells and whistles and was selling at $350. Not that long ago it started selling everywhere at $150. That is a deep discount. Why do you think that is? Has anyone heard about this reel not getting the sales they expected? I saw a lot of baitcasters on websites being sold out but the same seller had plenty of these reels. I found that interesting. Also I know the saying about getting what you pay for but how would you feel if you bought it for $350 and then seeing this happen? Do still go around talking about your high end reel or now do you have to say it was middle of the road?

Just goes to show how much stuff is marked up in my opinion lmfao

Thank you FourchonLa, I wish you and your family a very happy and blessed Easter.
I saw those reels when they first came out. Asking price was a little rich for something that hadnโt earned a solid reputation yet
I generally will wait a few years on a new launch for the manufacturer to iron the bugs out . Even with proven designs.
This is why I didnโt buy a Shimano Curado DC until this year.

That is what I was thinking. It was introduced a short time ago [18 months?] and then the price just dropped sharply. $50.00 less on sale would be a nice discount. But to be $200.00 less is a head scratcher in my opinion.

My old Samsung J727 V works fine. So does my old Asus Z8 tablet, most of the time LOL:-)
Howdy Fred. I'm coming up in the world. My old Samsung tablet got to having issues so i upgraded to the T727 V tablet in January. It worked OK but I set it on the roof of my mother's SUV a few days ago & drove off. There went my tablet. The insurance sent me a replacement last Wednesday. I took it to the Verizon office on Thursday & the folks there activated it for me. I left the store a happy camper. I stepped off the curb in front of the store, tripped & fell hard. I was buggered up pretty good but the brand new unused tablet was shattered & destroyed. With help from the Verizon folks who watched me bite the dust I got another new tablet a couple days later. My soreness & bruises are about gone along with $200 in deductibles. I'm still using my old Samsung android phone.

That's usually the way it works Coon, the older ones survive everything, but as soon as you get a new one, something happens!. The wife dropped her old phone down the cellar stairs, 10 steps down to concrete. Not a scratch. She got a new phone a couple months ago,and after a week, dropped it on the hardwood bedroom floor and cracked the screen. That's kinda why I like the old ones, they're luckier.LOL.
