My wife and I just enjoy catching and releasing all that we catch. We really don't go out for any specific species, just the fun of catching fish!
Well, William, Nice fish. I don't see anything wrong with catch and release. Most of the time, that is what I do. If, when I had a boat and guests fishing, if a guest caught a fish I would ask trhem if they wanted to eatr their catch? If they didn't , or were reluctant, I would toss it back. Just Sayin...RJS

What a perfect way to spend the day thank you for the Post mr. And mrs.pennie
Thanks for the post with photos. Hundreds if not thousands of fish are still swimming and ready to be caught again because lots of us don't feel like cleaning fish after a long day of fishing. Byerly's and Lund's have fish already cleaned, just rinse and throw them in the pan. Yesterday, 3-30-2021 was the official ICE OUT on Lake Minnetonka, I didn't realize the ice was actually getting out of the lake! The photos are of the boat launch on Spring Park Bay taken the day before the official Ice out. The boat launch is still out of action and will be for a couple more days I think! March 29th is the earliest I ever got my boat in the water. I think I will wait another week or two this year.
That beautiful perch on top belongs on the table. Best eating fresh water fish there is. I used to catch so many large perch I gave them away as Christmas presents. I had a great way to freeze them and people were very happy to get them.

Welcome to the Fishing Stage, william pennie!
Thanks for the pics. Nice variety of fish.
As for that launch photo, looks like some hard water yet, but with warm, windy days that ice will be gone very soon.
Great time - totally jealous of that relationship
