Are you gonna be hunting Smallmouth or Trout?
From the cornwall bridge to rt4 is fly fishing only they stock it with nice brown trout, from rt4 to kent any thing goes so I guess we’ll be doing both . I use a little wet fly that looks like a crayfish, works all the time on small mouth sometimes on browns
It areal nice strech of the river, nevere a bad day

Cornwall bridge IS at rt 4, the fly only area is there north to rt 112. From Bulls Bridge south to Gaylordsville bridge,rt7, is a C+R area for Bass and Trout . From Gaylordsville south to the Bleachery Dam is regular catch and keep rules like everywhere else.
I have tried tire shops, but have been told that they have strict rules for disposing of lead (hazardous material) and are not allowed to let anyone take the weights. I shoot flintlocks and wanted to mold my own round balls for it, but really had a hard time finding lead. Finally I found large quantities of deep sea sinkers at a flea market.
I have been casting jigs and sinkers for more than 40 years. Used to be, you could usually get all the lead wheel weights you wanted for the asking. Now, most tire shops sell their used wheel weights to scrap metal dealers. Also you need to be very careful with wheel weights. Thanks to the environmentalists, wheel weights are now being make out of zinc. You can cast sinkers and jigs from zinc, they would be lighter than from lead, and much harder, but they would work. You can not mix lead with zinc, they don't alloy, and the resulting mess is useless for anything. You can get wheel weights and roof flashing, which would be nearly pure lead, from a scrap metal dealer cheaper than buying on line because of shipping costs. If you get a bucket of wheel weights, use a pair of tin snips, and try to cut each one. You will soon be able to tell which ones are lead, and which ones are zinc.
For me. the scrap yard is the best bet and price in most cases. Pure is not important, just scoop off whatever floats to the top then pour. For just a bit more purity, drop a pea size piece of bee's wax in the melted lead. It causes more stuff to float in some lead. I don't use ammo lead as I don't like dealing with the brass. I also find a lot of lead for near nothing at garage sales (mostly trolling leads, commercial fishing leads and diving weights.
I have poured quite a bit myself. I get mine fron the scrap yard/recycling center. The wheel weights do have tin in them making it light but not significantly maybe 10 to 20 percent weight loss. Last time I went to the scrap yard I bought a 5 gallon bucket a third full of large sinkers. Just need to repour it.

I just bought a jig mold pouring setup and now I need to find some good sources for buying lead. Just wondering if anyone has any tips where I can buy the purest lead for the least amount of money. I do understand I can melt sinkers and weights that I find or have already but for now I’m looking to start with quality pure lead. Thanks!

Try a plumbing supply, they may still carry lead, used for lead joints on cast iron pipe

plumbing supply would have ingots of lead. Sorry for double post, first time.
Old topic, but for any one interested I am a long time bullet caster. Unlike bullets, brined hardness, impurities, specifici lead tin alloys, and the like are of little concern. Until a few years ago many tire shops would gladly give away buckets of old tire weights. Sadly that is no longer the case.
I would sugggest, scrap metal dealers, on line auctions and suppliers of reloading supplies.
