I ran over to our little town pond today,to wet a line for the first time this season. Couldn't get bit on spoons or Rooster tails, but Powerbait never fails. Orange mini marshmallow type floated off the bottom. Missed a couple, got 2 before the bite died.

Good on you Fred. Hope the weather holds for you. Catch some but enjoy the time fishing!

Plenty of time for the PBs, OBJ. We're not all lucky enough to live in Cali, where you catch a PB first day out. Most of our fish are still wearing parkas and ski masks.LOL

Other than the lucky Smallie, was a fairly slow day. Only had two other dink SMB's. Really wasn't referring to recent catch. Was talking about all trlps every year.

Thanks BM, I'm not fussy for the first couple trips. Anything pulling back on the other end of the line is fine by me. After 4 months of being inside, watching fishing on tv, just being at some water was nice.

No trout for dinner tonight Hunt, CPR today. The only time I keep fish is if they are mortality wounded. And then only if I can ice them immediately. Normally I don't bring a cooler unless I'm planning on bringing some home.

Just got the knee drained again today after the surgery. Feels so much better now. 30 cc last week and another 30cc today.
We had snow again today and forecast for Wednesday also. I always try to keep and eat the first of each species I catch. Gramps always said the rest of the year would be lots better catching if we did that. Always seemed to work πŸ˜€πŸ˜€. Then it’s usually CPR unless the neighbor wants some to eat. Always keep some kokanee and walleye to smoke and eat.
