I ran over to our little town pond today,to wet a line for the first time this season. Couldn't get bit on spoons or Rooster tails, but Powerbait never fails. Orange mini marshmallow type floated off the bottom. Missed a couple, got 2 before the bite died.

Thanks guys, I'm not a trout guy by any means, but it's convenient. Only about a half mile from my house, and the only public accessible pond in town. 62° out there and virtually no wind, so I couldn't resist.

Yes it did Ed, especially with the heat from the Sun directly on YOU, not shining through a window.

No trout for dinner tonight Hunt, CPR today. The only time I keep fish is if they are mortality wounded. And then only if I can ice them immediately. Normally I don't bring a cooler unless I'm planning on bringing some home.

I seldom ever fish for trout anymore either but looking through stuff year or so ago, i Found a small tackle box full of power bait. Girl friend don like crappie or cars so she says but does like trout. Might use some up catching a few trout for her. For eatin' I can take them or leave them and then the limit is five. Long way to where I can get into them for five 8" stocked fish! If God had meant for people to eat trout of salmon, he wouldn't have made crappie and catfish!

Yeah Spirit, the natives are. I don't think I've ever eaten a hatchery brookie before. I noticed that the colors weren't nearly as bright as a native either. Still fun though.
