I would give my right arm to be ambidextrous.

If you gave up your right arm how could you be ambidextrous...just say’n...🐟on
Most on the time it doesn’t matter.
But say you were using 1/14 oz Aton Popper and you didn’t want it to sink. If you reel with one hand and crank with the other , the second before hitting the water you set the bale and make a big splash. If you have to change hands you lose that second and the lure goes under the water. It may take you ) or 7 cranks to get it back on top to get it to splash.
But that’s when using a spinning reel
With a bait caster it really doesn’t matter.

left but i am right handed
Right handed, and I use both. Baits that I want moving as soon as they hit the water are tied on left-hand retrieve reels so I can get my hand on the handle as soon as they land (I cast right handed). Others get tied on rods with right hand retrieve reels.
We’re still talking about reel’s...right!! RH or LH???😜🤣😂🐟on
