Ive come to look forward to your good mornings and jokes even tho I don't see it till early afternoon. The back and forth banter led me to ask the question. My daughter lives in Milwaukee.

I grew up on the NW side of Milwaukee. Nice City. Has just about everything I need (except a longer Spring, Summer and Fall).

Retired from Halliburton Services. Besides fishing i love to hunt & camp. I've done those things all over the central US & went on a 5 month fishing trip to Alaska. I even went to Korea & fished. I'll never do that again. I spent years restoring damaged firearms & custom building the Ruger 10/22 & lever action rifles. Quit that a couple years ago, too much like work. I live in NE Oklahoma with a wealth of lakes & rivers all around me so I eat fish regular. 1 grandson & 4 grandaughters.

My wife also loves to fish but she still works, in a gun store so I don't complain too loud. I have 2 boats, a 20 footer & a 14 footer. both are kept ready to go. I also have a 10 foot Inflatable pontoon with a 55lb thrust trolling motor that i like to use. I prefer baitcasters but use spinning gear also, no box store junk. Don't fly fish. Some friends say I'm opinionated but I don't know where they get that idea.

40 years in commercial real estate after a brief high school biology teaching and coaching gig. Retired and moved from Northern CA to SoCal to chase the grandkids. Fishing and hunting are my hobbies. Starting the grandkids on fishing - practicing casting into their pool. Will soon get them out on my kayak fishing.

I've been reading Fishing Stage for a few months and contributed a little in the last month. I enjoy the friendly banter and jokes as well as fishing help. My question is what do you do for a living or what did you do before retirement? Do you have hobbies besides fishing? Do your kids fish with or without you? I was a machinist for 20 years. Then a stay at home dad for 13 years. Now I work part time in a property management company. The youngest of our 5 kids is my fisher girl, 23. How do you guys and ladies pass the time? Ed

Well,,,,,,, I had a Wresting Scholarship while going to college, so, school didn't cost me anything but a lot of hard work on the mat. I taught and coached for 27 years, then retired from coaching and teaching. Sold cars /trucks for a GM Dealership for 25 years and retired last year after working for the MN. DNR for 11 years. Now, I'm a full-time caregiver for my wonderful wife of 57 years, who is in remission from stage 4 lung cancer. My hobbies have been rod crafting, fly tying, fishing trout, and walleye, as well as saltwater fishing. The thing I like about trout fishing is I make my rod, tie my fly, and catch my trout, with walleye fishing, I make my rod, make my jig, and catch my walleye. With saltwater fishing, I make my rod but I have no idea what I'm going to catch with it.

Been married 50 years. Yes to the same woman! We have one son who doesn’t like to fish and two granddaughters who love fishing and eating lobster with grandpa.
Worked as a cabinet maker for 25 years and then started my own kitchen design and sales business for the last 25 years. Still working in my own business. My wife keeps asking me when I’m going to retire...my answer...when I stop loving it. I guess I’m semi retired because I can work and take time when I want to.

I spent 22 years in the army electronic engineer and power generation. Then 21 years at Proctor and Gambel paper products running a decorator that put pictures on paper towel. Now retired and fish hunt do almost anything out doors.

Great topic mistred64! I'm loving reading the bios. After college I farmed full time for 30 years, crops and livestock. After losing rented ground to development and being squeezed out of hog production I got a part time job at the Post Office. Worked my way up to Postmaster in a small town. I still have 850 acres of row crops (mostly rented,) a few beef cows, meat goats and chickens. I'm eligible to retire but the benefits would be small and I need the money since I just bought the family farm. I love to fish and hunt, but work gets in the way far too often.
