I received a call from my VA in Houston today to come in tomorrow for the covid vaccine shot. I put my name on the list at the first of this month and didn’t expect to hear from them for a long time. I hope and pray there are no serious after effects, but if there is they will go away soon. Just wanted to let y’all know.

That’s GREAT! I’m still waiting. I had COVID Back in September. It was mild for me.

Reckon I'm not well informed... I have been thinking that if a person already has "antibodies" in their blood, then they are "good to go"... I'm wondering if I might have had "a touch" of it, nearly a year ago, already now... I know that I was terrible sick, for a while. I thought that once a person recovers, they now have antibodies and was a reason they had been encouraging people who survived the CoVid to donate blood, to get the antibodies out of it, ...(¿For the development of the vaccine?)
Either way you slice it, I'll be waiting a while, as I'm only 62 years old.
I wish you all who get vaccinated, the best of results.

Hack,
I am in the process of registering with the VA just for the vaccine. I have not registered previously, trying to save their services for vets who might not have Medicare and a supplement and might need them more than I.

Registering with the VA IS EXTREMELY important. Because someone else might need it isn't a valid reason. Being registered reduces a lot of problems. If something happens that leaves you unable to answer questions, that information is already there. Even though you have no plans to use it, dosent mean you won't need to use the benefits. Lots of Veterans register and never recieve or need the service. Register and keep your options open. Keep fishing. DEEJAY

Well guys, it was a breeze. Needles don’t bother me, so the shot was no problem but the medicine kinda hurt as she injected it. My arms not even sore now after five hours. No after effects, no nothing. Two weeks and I go back for my follow up shot. I’ll put it this way. Getting stuck by a fishing hook hurts. This didn’t so go get yours when you can.

I had my first shot last week. A sore arm for a few days and a little nausea for two days with muscle aches. Feel great now. My nurse daughter in law tells me the nausea lets you know your body is building antibodies.

After I recoverd from COVID I inquired about giving blood for antibodies even though they don’t allow me to give blood because of all meds I take from having 3 heart attacks and have diabetes and agent Range She asked me how old I am. Said 72. She said first of all we don’t do the antibodies from anyone over 70. I kind of laughed and said can’t we lie. Lol. Then said I kind of said think this is age discrimination. Lol. She laughed too. Said thank you.
Just because you had COVID doesn’t mean you are protected from it. How long are antibodies in you?

I have no doubt the Mrs. is more than pleased with her man and willing to give you some room for good natured humor. But, if she does kick your butt, will you please video and post?
