You don't state the thrust of your trolling motor, nor the amp/hrs of each battery (70amp/hrs ?), so kinda tough to compare run times, with respect to boat size, but 1.5mph is usually what I am trolling at.
So, with 4(!) Group #27's you have approximately 250+lbs of batteries aboard.....on a 17' Klamath ?
Whew !.?....there goes one of your potential fishin' buddy's spot, huh ?
The batteries I have are Ever Start 750 MCA and 50 lb. each. The boat is set up for two adults plus my near 100 lb. grandson. The trolling motor is a 12 volt 40# thrust. I don't particularly like fishing with three. My grandson is the exception. Helping him is more fun than fishing myself. I have pulled two batteries and fished with three adults' when bottom fishing. With a bass chair up front, it works out OK: one up front, one in the pilot chair and one in the back. That still puts me well within the rated load weight with all gear included. Just a note: I have the trolling motor up front. It provides better boat control especially in the wind and is easy to operate from the front seat.
