Every time I see a Shelby, and hear those pipes, I canโt tell you how much Iโve wanted one of those. I got to ride in one once. It had six gears and was faster than anything I ever rode in or had.

You are not a lone by anymeans.
I traded my nephew years ago, s Wells cargo enclosed trailer for my 1947 1/2ton Chevy 5 window stepside truck. All original. Had a 216 in it. 6 volt system. I got it out of a field in a scrap pile. I Got it running, rewired, rebuilt all the brake cyliders and master cylinder. Changed all the wheel seals. Went thru the transmission rebuilt the A-1carter carburetor. It was nice.it ran like a top Then he sold it๐ค๐ณ so he had money to go hunting. He got skunked hunting lol. Now the truck is gone

Your heart was in the right place.
How old was your nephew?
He was 31 at the time, he wanted it for years, he wanted to make it a hot rod, but hunting was his passion, and still is. I was the same way. Nothing came before hunting. I didn't hunt for horns or the kill. I just enjoyed the pack in trips, just me and my mules. Now, I wish I had the old truck.lol. just to play with.

Products- garage mans companions. ๐๐ Still have the 72 GMC 4x4 85,000 original miles that I either need to sell or get it restored. It is in good shape but just sitting there.
That's a gold mine you know. ๐

Yes it is, the 72's are still big sellers. Buddy if mine sold his for more than he paid for it new. And now it looks better than it did new. The really fixed it up. Sharp looking truck.

And they get Rebuilt and keeps on running. Can't do that with rust bucket Chevy's.

Come PB be nice to the Chevy crew. You have to admit it. There are a bunch more old Chevy's around that can be used for parts than there are Ford's. ๐๐คฃ๐
Oh by the way, I don't own a Ford or Chevy. ๐
๐คฃ๐ But it's a good argument.lol
Fast On Road and Dependable. I have a personal dislike for GM after what I went thru about my Chevy pickup years ago.
