Santee rigs with something that rattles may help the bite. I get a lot of channels with chicken breast marinated in cherry kool-aid, vanilla & cayenne pepper.

so there are many catfish in my pond, catfish? Catfishes? Doesnt matter. the problem is that these catfish have been living in this pond for 4 years and nobody has caught one.they are eating almost every fish that lives there and thats bad. Are there any baits that catfish absolutely love?

(beware these aren't regular catfish, no no no. These are smart, they've learned that if they relocate to a different spot it will be harder to catch them)

If it is were my private pond I would use a magneto and stun the catfish so I could thin them out. That is just me maybe.

You stated they were eating every fish in the pond, try small minnows hooked under the dorsal fin !

Best catfish bait I ever saw was catalpa worms. Find em on catalpa trees in summer
Kinda late in the year for those
See if your bait store has chub minnows. They are pretty strong and everything that swims eats em.
Try setting a trot line every night till you get rid of how ever many you want gone.

I'd say Ben's got a RIGHT good idea, about the trot line... Hell, ¡¡Set 2 or 3 trot-lines!! ¡ Then throw a few "Socially Distanced Fish-Fries"!

I use chicken livers for catfishin', but I take an 8" piece of thread (I keep spools of it in mt tackle box) and wrap it around about 1/2 the liver shown on the hook. The
thread keeps fish from slurping the liver off the hook.

Fresh that have not been frozen will hang on the hook.

If permitted, a stick of dynamite. Then eat them. Otherwise, a trotline nightly until they’re all caught.

We had that same issue in one of our ponds on the ranch in N. Texas. No way could we catch them on rod & reel, but caught the dog out of them on a trot line. Don’t remember what we used for bait, but all of the above should work
