that is the Antioch Bridge. Contra Costa County and Sacramento County. That is a great place to fish. I fish there all the time.

Went fishing much further than I usually travel but I wanted to get on some fish and i hear the bite was out further in bigger water.

One of the fishing stage regulars was here from Montana so we had an opportunity to meet and fish for a few hours.

I couldn't get him on any fish unfortunately, but we did catch a few little guys. After a while it just became drinking and hanging out and less about fishing but it was good time had.

Sorry we couldn’t get you on a fish, Tim but it was nice meeting you. Glad we could hang out a bit and wet a line and drink a beer. It was nice and I'd surely do it again. Hopefully next time with my boat.

Yes I do remember that and somehow conveniently forgot to mention that for the post. My bad! Going to go out again Saturday somewhere. I gotta get on some keepers! Wish me luck!

I don't know what bridge it is. It is directly behind where we fish, its just cool that some people think California is all city and Hollywood.

This is my favorite part of California, the abundance of Rivers, lakes and tributaries and so many places to fish you could never possibly fish them all in a lifetime.

To be fishing a beautiful river and then turn around and see pastures full of cattle right behind you, I love it. Merica'!

Are you near Antioch? On the Sacramento? Could be the Antioch bridge. 🐟on

Kinda looks like Hwy 37 bridge over the Napa River.. Not too far from where we fish for stripers.
I don't believe it is that bridge though.

Saw,

That's the Antioch bridge, Hiway 160.

OH. Well, from the Hwy 37 bridge over the Napa River you can see where we catch all our stripers on the Napa.

I was just checking that spot out on the map, looks like a good area but you already know that cause you always catch pretty big fish. How far is that from Sears Point?

I would say maybe 10 to 15 min. Depends on traffic. Why?

We launch the boat at Cuttings Wharf though. That's off Hwy 12.

Thinking of doing a night fish excursion at Oak Hall bend on Thursday night. Salmon and Striper fishing. Nice little beach, I'll have firewood. Catch a fat salmon before the season ends.
