Depending where you live and u don't have fussy neighbors, a container might work, since they increased the length for the highways, the shorter versions are cheap.

Oooooo, the wind. Lol. Smokey what would you do if the wind didn't blow everyday??? You would fall down, and have to learn how to walk without leaning. Like vertical man. You would be a tall sob.lol. oh by the way it's raining here now and the wind should have it at your place in a few minutes. LMAO ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

The term "Lean Beef" has a different meaning around here.

I'm hoping to have one of those metal "carport" buildings built to store my boat under. Mainly to protect from spring hail storms that we have and also additional protection from rain. No sides, no installation. I'm thinking 10x30x12. I was hoping for the $1,000 - $1,200 range. First quote was more than triple that amount. Two more quotes lined up.

I might be looking for Plan B as I can't justify $3,600 for a tin roof over my boat.

I had one built at my place a few years ago, 22โ€™ x 30โ€™ with the two long sides and gables at both ends. Total with install $4895 and I thought was a pretty good price.

Not so sure a unit w/o sides would get the protection you wish from hail damage. 25' should be adequate, it is for my 17'7" boat and motor.

I've decided to go with an individual who built a "carport" for a friend of mine last year. 25x12x7 with sides half way down. 4 anchors into the ground. Bid of $1600 was less than half that of others that I received. Two other companies bid well over $3500 and said that they could do it "first quarter of 2021." This gentleman will have it installed by next Saturday.

That sounds like it will work good, and in a timely manner๐Ÿ˜. And the price sounds fair. I hope it works great for you

Thatโ€™s awesome Papa! I donโ€™t think anyone can beat that price, plus itโ€™ll be in by next Saturday. One less thing to worry about. ๐Ÿ‘Œ
