Here too Egg. Every reservoir (9 in all) is down to minimum pool.

Saw, you're sharper than a rat turd & the're sharp on both ends. I must admit I'm only guessing at the end result of being struck by lightening. I really hate the smell of burned human flesh & lightening can cause severe burns. Besides burns, if you happened to be sitting in the front of your boat happily casting a worm & running the trolling motor you could be suddenly ejected from the seat into the alligator infested water & rendered unconscious. A man could wake up grave yard dead in a situation like that. I have always made it a point to get off the water if I see lightening. No personal insult intended in my description of your astute observations. Lightening strikes suck. Tight lines Steve.

Yes sirre buddy. Bein raised on the plains of Texas I know all bout lightning. When you're out in the field, you're the tallest thing for miles and that's no lie.
If the lightning was bad and we were out in the field and no where to go we'd lie down between the rows to be as flat as we could till it passed enough that we could leave.
I'm not scared of much BUT if I'm out somewhere, like the lake in a boat, and it starts to lightning I'm outta there as quick as I can. I don't want to mess with lightning.

Southwest is a warm wind and makes it even more humid in the summer. Year 'round however the killer is wind out of the northeast. That puts a damper on most fishing here.

Major i was attempting political humor on that southwest hot air mention in your NJ direction seeing that DC is is southwest of NJ.

No matter the final outcome of who wins this election plenty of hot air gets generated there.

Too old to be cold and wet at the same time. As far as thunderstorms go, hmmm LIGHTENING +GRAPHITE ROD +ALUMINUM BOAT +WATER. I think I'll pass on that combo. I'm not as lucky as the Bishop on Caddyshack!

With you 100% Fred.

Lol, ya know, I was never scared if all that lightning, graphite aluminum boat stuff untill I found out why I should be . When your out enjoying the fishing and rain, and your hair stands on ends and your arm hair stands up wet. Chits about to get real. The lightning doesn't have to hit you to shock you. Lol. But I did get bit party good. Went up the lake 10 miles and waited it out.

Have a friend that got zapped when lightning hit the beach coup[le hundred yards away. Couldn't hear or see for a couple of days. You want to see someone move fast if hears thunder????

I agree with Frefish!! Will do it in warm weather, but not in the cold or stormy weather. I'm scared of lighting and we get alot of it in Florida! Anytime I see a storm start to brew, I head the boat home to the dock and have outrun many of them!!

Really, and the lightning was that far away, i don't think i'll ever go on the beach when it's cloudy again.

Rain has never stopped me from fishing. I’ve found when it’s raining the fishing is way better.

I always thought so too, but Fly's lightning story has me a little worried now

And i bet you get a lot of hot air from the south west of you.

As far as hot air from South west of New Jersey there has been a whole hell of a lot in the past 20-30 years.

It’s a shame that’s gonna be all it is for a long time to come.....
