Hi Greg,
Lots of lakes, rivers and flowages to fish. They like to say we have 15,000 lakes and 4,000 rivers and streams available to all. I will fish Michigan on a bigger boat than mine, (Winnebago, too), thanks. Lake WI (WI River between dams) has just about any freshwater fish I am interested in catching along with additional Flowages further North like the Castle Rock and Petenwell. We visit friends throughout the State, so we are lucky as we have lots of options based on what we want to have for a fish fry. Sometimes we even get the fish to cooperate 😉

Watch out for that clown up there at Castle Rock, I hear he loves kids. For supper.

Both! We have 4 boats. A 2020 Lowe 17' Fishing Machine with 115 hp 4 stroke Merc and um, that's where I came up with my name! Then we have a 20' pontoon totally rigged for fishing and 2 kayaks! But, we do as much fishing off our 60' dock as we do out on the lakes. Grandson 10 yrs old caught a 14 lb 7 oz bass right off our dock. He's 26 now and still trying to catch another one like that! In 1 week earlier this year from a Sat to a Sat him and I caught 22 bass off the dock and he caught the biggest one 6 lb. the rest were 2 & 3 pounders. Getting ready to head out on the lake now!! Hope everyone has an awesome day!!!

I've had a boat for most of my life. (I'm 70). Right now I live in South Florida, right on the Intercoastal. I currently have a 26ft Grady White, an inflatable and a kayak. All of that, and I still enjoy fishing from the pier and from the bank.

I'll start -- never owned a boat. Fish from the shore.

I own a 17ft wyatt sled w 90hp jet and 8hp kicker. Also fish w my son on his 20ft Wave Runner. Also fish from shore but arthritis limits mobility. Love fishing in the ocean but limited by seasickness. Love the NW but envy you southerners who fish in tee shirts😎.

I owned a few boats over the years. A 21’ Bayliner with a 150 hp OB Merc, a 12’ Gregor with a 9.5 hp Merc, a river canoe, a lake canoe (both Old Timer) and an 19’ Lund with a 40 hp Honda (small engine for running the Kenai River). I also fished from shore and fished with charter boats. No boat here in Costa Rica but I continue to use charters as well as fish from the shore.

Thanks Saw. It works for me. I can close it up when it gets cold or windy or open it up when it’s nice. I primarily fish alone. No I haven’t heard anything from Volfman.

Most of the time it’s the shore line for me but I have been in boats can’t say that I really enjoyed it

Dock now. Used to be Gulf of Mexico shore and pier until we built our new house with a dock including 3 pole holders, running water and cleaning station. First time fishing off the dock, put out 3 poles and caught 3 cats on the first casts. Now we have fish and crabs all the time. On East Bay in NWFL.
