Caught them night crawlers
Two nice fish...hope you released them back in the pond.
They could be over 10 lbs. next year and would be real trophy fish then.

¡Congratulations, tea069! ¡Lotta good eating put on the hill, THAT day!
Beautiful fish!! What a day! Talk about a LARGEmouth!
No one eats largemouth bass.
That would be a sin to eat a bass that big.

You're misinformed, sir... I've eaten LMB, whenever I've caught one "keeper-size" or better; prolly since ~ the X I took my "1st steps" (Father & Mother used to bring'em home...), I've been dining on LMB! Ain't no SIN involved...

I wouldn't get my panties in a bunch if it's legal eat it! Personally I dont eat LMB. Taste like muddy grass.
To each his own. Not many people eat humble pie either.

I would have to say, that flavor is mighty dependent upon: ¡Where you catch'em!

I am sure you are absolutely correct. The taste of all fish change according to the water they come from. But I've never eaten a mud flavored trout. Even a catfishs flavor changes and I've never eaten one more than 30" but up that length no mud weed taste but the few bass I've eaten none were what my taste buds liked. My uncle used to tell me put more pepper on it youll like it then. Maybe he's right.

Tip from a marine biologist. Quick less that 5 minutes soak fillets in a lightly salted 7up solution. Acid, sugars, and salt reverse the impact of the chemicals in the fish from the fight and getting it to the kitchen.
