I really DO think that little girl has got me beat, on both age and size... I was prolly around her age y my Musky was "barely legal", for that year; in Ontario. I think it was 28 & 1/2"... Don't recall the weight. (Might've been in 1968... Thereabouts.)

I never use wire for bass. I like to use the lightest mono I can. Usually 6-8 lb test.

me too fishrmans. i use mono most of the time in 6 or 8#

I don't see any reason to NEED wire leaders/ Bass... I'm thinking that I used to just tie a snap-swivel, at the end of the mainline y be done / it.
