What lures do you have in your tackle that you get excited to use?
Zoom bait’s UV speed worm in the June bug red color. If I am getting skunked all day I put this one and catch a fish every time.

Lately it's been 2" grubs. I love being able to just throw a pack or 2 of those and some jig heads in my pocket rather than bringing a tackle box or my backpack out.

Rooster tail, rapala shallow diving crankbait. They aren't the most productive for me but I just love throwing them.

I found a lure called a "Pixie" sold at Cabelas to be a good go to around here for Salmon, Bass and Stripers. Best colors seem to be chartruse and orange. We have to use single hooks here for water that carry salmon but it doesn't seem to have any effect on hooking up. I suppose next season the go to lure will be something else. I'll stick with these "Pixies" cause I bought so many of them.
Flicker shads from Berkley. Spoons. Jigs with either plastic or live bait.
I have two “Tornado “ spinnerbaits where made by Bass Pro Shops now are hard to find so I don’t use them very often in fear of losing them ,absolutely deadly for bass
KVD crank bait 1.5 and buzz baits, love em always throw them.
Buzz Bait, Pop R, Spinnerbait.
Gold Rattle Traps or Frog pattern Zara Puppy... If this doesn't work I go to a purple worm with a red curly tail rigged Texas style.
hello, I'm a trout fisherman and when i'm headed to the river, I have panther martins on my mind. The one with a gold blade, black with yellow dot body. THE PANTHER MARTIN. I also use the one with an orange blade, and gold ones mostly. But trout get choosy and i keep a large selection of colors. For the lakes, if I'm bank fishing, I have to go with power bait mostly. I also keep several colors of that. For trolling, I'm liking Berkley Gulp Minnows, behind a dodger.
Don't forget the beetle spin it has always proven to be an effective lure in many cases and they come in different sizes.
I haven't used any top water lures as of yet, I don't think I have any. I had a few when I lived in the Texas Panhandle, Amarillo. I use to bass and catfish around there, but the drought lasted so long, the lakes got down so low, they all had fish kills. No oxygen in the water, so i'd drive 140 miles up to Clayton Lake in New Mexico and fish for trout. I like Clayton Lake. we'd come up to Red River on our vacations and fish the different rivers and lakes. So after welding for the city of Amarillo for 33 years we moved to New Mexico and now live close to where we use to vacation. And I haven't used beetle spins here. The stocked trout will hit plastic if it is fished like you would power bait, but it seems to me, if you use to much of a lure they won't hit it
I believe in keeping it simple black with blue tail or junebug worm, a white spinner bait, a shad color crank bait and a black and yellow buzz bait. That's all you will find in my tackle box to bass fish with. A lot of other baits will catch fish but most are to catch the fishermen
