What lures do you have in your tackle that you get excited to use?
Anyone else have a few lures in their mind when they’re on the way out to the lake that you’re just excited to get in the water? You’ve just got a hunch about a specific lure or just got a fresh box of something, if so what is it?

Definitely a lure I need to start tossing, I don’t even have one yet so shame on me. Got a recommendation for a starter?

A kastmaster spoon is my personal favorite but other brands like seastriker also make them. They can catch pretty much everything. Good luck!!

I have a small generic hammered copper spoon that murders trout on the river. I just bought a couple of similar ones to use because I’m scared to lose the original.

Morning or night it's the spook. Spook always comes through for some nice topwater bites, I make my own and all it is is a cylinder that gradients to nothing, but it does so much. I also love squarebills, they absolutely destroy the bass in my ponds around me and some lakes. Lucky craft makes the best. Last but not least is the wacky rig. Easiest way to catch fish, and has big fish potential. If I'm sight fishing it is my go to.

My topwater poppers. I love them to the point where I may try taking over my dad’s lathe every now and then to make some unique ones of my own

Go for it! I haven’t made any of my own lures yet but I have mad respect for people who do, it’s so cool to put something together by hand that catches fish.

Yeah it’s just an idea and I have no idea how to do it but it’d be really cool using a 100% unique lure made by myself. I’ll probably get into it eventually

I have these crawfish you cast. Never even had a bite but I use it Everytime because I love Crawfish and it looks cool.

Never had a fishing trip that I wasn’t throwing a variety of crawfish. They always work for me, how are you rigging it up?
--
by iAMgnarrshy
It's just a plastic one for casting haha not a real one

Yeah that’s what I’m talking about, just plastics. Either using them as a trailer on a jig or just rigging it up on a ned or Texas.

Rubber worm, Texas rigged on a 1/0 worm hook. So much freaking luck with those. Especially with my Yamamoto's. Other than that, I've been killing it with floating rattle traps and shallow diving rattling crank baits. Those are beginning to turn into a favorite real quick.
