Doyle and the Mrs. were awakened at 3:00 am by a loud pounding on the door. Doyle gets up and goes to the door where a drunken stranger, standing in the pouring rain, is asking for a push. "Not a chance," says Doyle, "it is 3:00 in the morning!" He slams the door and returns to bed.
"Who was that?" asked the Mrs... "Just some drunk guy asking for a push," he answers. "Did you help him?" she asks. "No, I did not, it's 3 am in the morning and it's bloomin' well pouring with rain out there!" "Well, you have a short memory," she says. "Can't you remember about three months ago when we broke down, and those two guys helped us? I think you should help him, and you should be ashamed of yourself! God loves drunk people too you know."
Doyle does as he is told, gets dressed, and goes out into the pounding rain. He calls out into the dark, "Hello, are you still there?" "Yes," comes back the answer. "Do you still need a push?" Doyle calls out. "Yes, please!" comes the reply from the dark. "Where are you?" asks Doyle. "Over here - on the swing," replied the drunk.

If he's smart, he's going to do as the Mrs. directed. Costs him nothing except a short time in the rain and will keep the domestic benefits coming. Plus, the swinger gets his wish. A win-win-win !

Well...that's one way of looking at it.

You beat me to it. One of my brothers in law. Did you have a good time yesterday?

I/we had a great time. However, I'm quite sure we broke the social distancing rules as none of us wore a mask. It has been a while since we last got together. We grilled NY strip steaks with baked potatoes, and a great tossed salad with everthing in it...to include a favorite of mine, avocadoes. I also had a chance to see/hold my two newest great-grandchildren, Kinsley and Hadley. It was time well spent.

Sounds like you’re living life as it was intended. I’m happy for you.
