Yeah, I am kind'a an old-fashioned fogie. Truth is, most caps I own and wear are USMC 'Nam Veteran covers. I wouldn't dishonor them by wearing in any way other than a traditional manner.

You da man.

I wear ball caps all the time, I collect em - every time I go somewhere new I try to get a ball cap, I must have about 50 of em and they're scattered all over the house, the garage, wife's car, my truck. Seems like every one of em has a bow and a stern, as do I. I generally try to keep them aligned. Makes for smoother sailing. A ball cap is a worthless distraction underway. Either get you something like a pisscutter or a beret if you must be covered, or just go commando.
My last time out with NoCal Steve I wore my RiverCats ball cap and it of course ended up in the drink. We retrieved it and I remained uncovered til I got back to the truck.

Onliest time I wear any kind of hat is on the water to reduce the glare. Rest of time I am bareheaded.

I also wear a cap nearly all the time. People have told me they wouldn’t recognize me without a hat on. I’ve also collected ball caps for about 40 years. The last time I counted (prolly ten years ago) I had 560 caps. Many of these are displayed on a couple walls in the rec room, and all the walls around my office. These hats are of places visited, colleges and universities, fishing, cars, various products and companies, and much more. A majority of my collection was bought at yard sales for 25 cents each. I’ll try to post a pic or two if I can.

I’ve seen young people wearing baseball type caps with the bill on the side.
The only ones I can find all have the bill on the front.
Where can I find one of these? I have an irresistible urge to look like a douchebag

LOL, and your pants with the waist band around your thighs!

Sometimes I'll wear it backwards if I'm outside and the bill gets in the way for up close work.
Got to keep the chrome dome protected from the sun.

Taking a line from "Jaws" I think we need a bigger wall.

Well, Ben, Larry & scores of others responding to Ben's initial post, it seems like we gravitated away from Ben's post about the "side" hat bill on the cap. Just a little bit. If I assume that Ben is really serious about finding a side bill hat (and I don't, but do appreciate the humor), would you be looking for a right side, or left side billed hat? And, would you be looking for a long bill for protecting your shoulders? For the shirtless macho types.
Try Amazon? That may keep one busy for bad weather days.
