I fish one all the time. My cousin owns a golf course and all the ponds are fed from the anclote river (brakish) which connects to the gulf. Tides and everything. Catch a lot of snook, redfish, tarpon and blue crabs. There are some gar in there that are every bit of 6ft long or bigger and must weigh close to 100lbs. I've never hooked one but I've seen plenty of them.
Catch an occasional largemouth in there too.

Is there a golf club fishing pole hybrid that can help.
I've fished a creek that runs through the golf course by my house and nobody ever said anything but I only did it in the evening when nobody's there.
I sure wouldn't eat them!
helps if you're a member... golf course ponds are usually
good fishing... was run off once property owner said pond
was stocked with grass-eating carp

Throw a 2 piece in your bag and fish while everybody else is looking for their ball😂
I went golfing with a friend one time, it was in the evening and the course was about empty. We played a few holes and got to one that had an island green. When we were done playing the hole my buddy pulled a little ultra light rod and reel out of his golf bag and started casting a spinnerbait. In 7 or 8 casts he caught 4 or 5 bass. Nothing real big. The biggest was about 15" but still he caught 4 or 5 fish in about 5 minutes.

Way to make golf interesting. Score number of strokes minus number of fish.

There use to be a fishing show where theyd have a fish contest then play a few holes of golf. Might have been Mark Zona
