Never been for tuna but we put in the pacific at Ilwaco, WA and pointed the boat west for about 70 miles. Got the brother-in-law’s new 26 wellcraft covered in blood. We used one box for bleedout and the other side for iced

Looks like you hit the big time for the first time, congrats. I've been out a few times with friends who knew how to find and catch them and we did. One suggestion if I may; gut them as soon as you can. The meat will keep better. Now your hooked.

Yes looks like long fins to me . Some one mentioned gutting them , the best way is to cut a slit at there butt hole stick your finger in and pull the gut that leads to the exit hole till it breaks the gill the fish all stomach gut will come out with the gills pack body cavities will ice put in the box and ice over them and don’t forget to bleed small slit behind the long fin will take care of that , nice fish a lot of fun

In the. keys we get a lot of blackfin we bleed them as soon as we get them in the boat. They have a vain on each side, hold them upside down over a bucket take your knife go inside the gills you will know when you hit the vain it will almost completely bleed them, put them on ice till you get back

Great fishing trip Shutup. Bet that was a lot of fun AND WORK. After the catch or kill is when the work begins.
