Never been for tuna but we put in the pacific at Ilwaco, WA and pointed the boat west for about 70 miles. Got the brother-in-law’s new 26 wellcraft covered in blood. We used one box for bleedout and the other side for iced

Nice job and congrats! Curious what’s the size limit and bag limit?

No birds, just went till our Washington gray water turned nice and blue. About 70 miles and trolled craps, swim baits and Shimano jigs with equal hits, when hit stopped and chummed cut up anchovies had them swarming under boat smacking whatever we put in front of them. All stuff we read first had never done it or been out like that far on own boat

70 miles is a long ways out in a 26’ boat.

Volvo inboard with 55 gallon tank I’ve done 68 miles out and back because we thought the fish were there and caught when we got there mission accomplished 👍👍that’s why we do it.

I hope you keep having good luck with the boat motor and weather long ride in a small boat been that far often but in a 32 ft sport fisherman I like having some boat under my but if the weather blows up and a 26 ft doesn’t cut it if the weather turns nasty

Nice batch of albacore! You had a fun trip! Great as steaks, baked, or smoked--the latter is my favorite.
