I was lake fishing and had my license with my fresh water box, next week went salmon fishing in Puget Sound, got stopped without my license and catch record card. Gave them my Drivers license, they checked on line and did not give me a ticket, but advised that I could not continue to fish. Spent the rest of the day driving the boat for my buddies. I will probably regret this post, but several years ago in was ice fishing Shell Lake in the late afternoon. For about thirty minutes my flags went crazy. I ended up with four walleyes, all between four and five pounds. I stuck them in a 5 gallon pail and proceeded to walk the half mile back to the truck. Because I was over my limit as well as not adhering to the "slot limit" I figured I'd better hide the pail in the thick reeds just beyond the landing. No sooner got to my truck when the warden zoomed in with his brights on. Searched everything, and I mean everything. I'm sure he may have been watching from afar with his binoculars. He left, but it knew he suspected something. As soon as he pulled away, my walleyes came alive. Whap, whap, their tails snapping against the plastic pail. I don't do that anymore.
