I do think that is large enough for at least two meals! Great pic. Sorry didn’t attach to the pic.

I've taken an awful lot of bullfrogs with one of those!
Dang, now I'm hungry for frog legs, haven't had them for quite awhile!

As kids, my younger brother
and I often went went 'frogging',
at least once a month through-
out the summer, sometimes with an airgun, sometimes with a
.22 cal. rifle firing 'shorts', depending on location ! Most
of the time, we'd just use a short rod with 4-lb.-test mono tied onto a #8 or #10 bait-keeper hook !
We'd attach a small, red-flannel
patch onto the hook and dangle
it in front of their face until they took it in like a fly or other flying insect ! Detach frog, reset bait, repeat until our creel or container
had enough bullfrogs to make a decent meal of 'frog-legs and
fries' ! About 2 to 2-1/2 hours
was usually all it took to gather enough to feed us both ! Best
part was, it would thoroughly disgust our sisters once they
knew what we were eating;
for two mischievous young rascals, it just made our meal
that much more enjoyable !

When I was still in high school, a fella who worked with my Dad went out frogging. he got back late with a lot of bullfrogs in a gunnysack. Since it was late, he tied the sack and left it by the front porch. After he had his coffee the next morning, he sent his little boy out to check whether the frogs were dead. "Yeah Daddy, they're dead." So, he brought the gunny sack in and dumped them in the kitchen sink to begin preparing them. They WEREN'T dead, and began jumping everywhere.
His Wife just about took the door off the hinges on her way out!

As stated in an earlier post;
"Women ! No sense of humor !"

There are a few Cajun restaurants here in the East Valley; most of them serve crawdads and/or
alligator, and one or two serve
frog legs, but they are pricey !
One place lists them at $9.99
(for THREE pair of legs) ! Oh,
to be 18 again and agile; if
I knew where to get 'em
locally, I'd get my own !

It looks like a frog gig to me depending on the size, and maybe, just maybe we could find a few kids to take an old man FISHING.... Just sayin'😃

I'm with Wulffie, I used such an item for frog-gigging when my brothers & I went out to the country creeks in the 50s & 60s. Of course, it could certainly used for fish-gigging, also.

In the National Lampoon movie
'Vacation', it was a euphemism
for Disneyland ! For many people nowadays, it's a sarcastic term (nickname ?) for Walmart !

Hi Mr. Big A :)
Lol, I thought it was a tackle place possibly, strike two.
Ok, Walmart which reminds me. Last Saturday we were
on their website.

Ordered two packs of Gulp live 3" shrimp. Thought we would
give them a try. They had good reviews so we picked the
pickup option.

We're waiting about two hours for the pick-up email.
It finally came, order cancelled not in stock. Placed
a new order Amazon prime, out for delivery today :)

Z&B :)
